GET INVOLVED AT GUMC!
GUMC has many ministries available for you to be involved in. From helping in the children's ministry to assisting with our Pickleball Outreach, or greeting newcomers as they join us for Sunday, serving at GUMC is a great way to help make this church your home and deepen your relationship with Christ.
There are so many ways you can make a difference in our ongoing worship and activities through the week. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION -from Children's Moments, Nursery or Christian Education, you can touch kid's lives
MUSIC - from Praise Band, to Adult Choir, Bells or Youth or Special Music, we can use our talents to praise him
SUNDAY SERVICE SUPPORT -from Worship planning, to Greeters, to Scripture Readers and more ... there are so many ways to serve
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES - from our Walking Track, Pickleball, Youth Rec. ... GUMC's Family Life Center thrives!
UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH - locally concentrates on the homeless and marginalized in our state. While you may no us for Ugly Quilts and Prayers & Squares, we also concentrate on how to make a difference on key social issues:
- Immigration & birthright citizenship
- Education for troubled students
- Disaster relief
- Self care in our world of change
You can get involved either by attending in-person meetings or digitally through the UWF.org website.

Welcome to our Prayer Station Journey! It has been designed to help explain where the gifts you give actually go and to show you clearly the amount of money it takes to operate a building of our size and run programs in a fiscally sensible way. v Our total Operating Budget for 2026 is $243,120.00. Currently, our budget is in line with our income. Your Finance Team is working hard to be frugal and responsible with the financial resources that you have blessed our church with.
This pledge drive is a six month campaign commitment covering July to December of 2026. We will have another pledge drive this fall to set our budget for 2027 as we are working to return to a January to December giving cycle to align with our budgeted fiscal year.
vApproach this journey in a prayerful manner ever seeking how you are called to help us move toward living out the mission and goals of GUMC and growing our congregation. There are great things happening here! Never doubt, your presence and involvement are an important part of bringing the Holy Spirit to life within our church. Once the Holy Spirit is ignited in us, we must be bold in sustaining and spreading its energy!
