What’s Happening

Moses takes Steps by Faith this week. He is called to lead the Israelite people for God. They aren’t always faithful, but Moses keeps taking steps of faith.

How can we step out in leadership in faith? How does Moses faith speak to us now? What steps will we take this week by faith? Join us in worship on Sunday to find out.

Join us during Holy Week to remember the death and celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Palm Sunday, 9:45 a.m., April 2
Join us on Palm Sunday as we complete our Steps by Faith series with Jonah. A perfect character to lead us into Holy Week as Jonah doesn’t want to go – and frequently, we don’t want to go into Holy Week. It is a hard, serious time. We’d rather skip to Easter. We invite you to join us and hear about Jonah’s faithfulness and how we can be faithful like Jonah. Then make sure to join us for the rest of Holy Week and Easter!

Holy Thursday Service, 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary & Online

We remember the last supper and how Jesus washed the disciples’ feet and gave a command to “Love one another.” A quiet, contemplative service that invites us to reflect on all that Jesus has done for us and calls us to do as we follow him.

Good Friday Service, 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary & Online

We remember the arrest, suffering, and crucifixion of Jesus. Walk alongside our savior as we journey into the darkness of death and eventually arrive at the tomb, awaiting, with trembling, what’s next.

Easter Sunday Service, April 9

Celebrating the Resurrection!
Two Services • 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. in person or online.

The 13th Peggy Van Vlack Memorial Bell Festival will be on March 25 at 3:00 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc. This is the first Peggy Ring since pre-pandemic. Choirs and ringers from Goodrich, Oxford, Mt. Clemens, Flint, Grand Blanc, Hartland, and Rockford will be participating this year with close to 75 bellringers in the mass ring numbers. Some of the choirs will also be ringing solo numbers.

The participating ringers start the day around 8:30 a.m. to learn the mass pieces under the direction of our guest conductor/clinician Darcie Zembower West. If enough young people are there, a Rainbow Ringers choir will also play. The public concert will be in the gym at the back of Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc at 3:00 p.m. on March 25.

A new column, Pause with Pastor Joel, is now available. This newsletter will appear biweekly in our online blog. Click here to read Pastor Joel’s latest message!

Open Pickleball – Mondays, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Come join us for several weeks of Open Pickleball in the Family Life Center. No experience is necessary. We will be playing 2-on-2 pickleball with a couple of nets open. This is “low impact fun” for everyone.

See what all the buzz is about…for people of all ages. Bring your paddles if you have them.
