Soup & Substance

Lent is a time to reflect on our faith.

We are inviting you to take a journey through Lent

with your church family!

Here are ways to inspire your journey.

1. Ash Wednesday Service Feb. 17^{th from 7-7:30 pm}
Begin your lent journey with a service of ashes and communion.

2. Soup & Substance Series on Sunday evenings

Dinner will be served at 5:00 pm followed by a guest speaker at 6:00 pm and
3. Read the Lenten Devotional Book written by our congregation

　

We are excited to have a book of sharing, witness and testimony by our own church family this year. The worship committee is producing this book and providing a free copy for everyone to enjoy! How wonderful that we will be able to spend a few moments each day in Lent learning about the life experiences and faith journeys of our own congregation. We look forward to the bond and understanding that this will build among us all. We will begin distribution on Feb. 7th next to our Worship Refueling Station. Make sure you come get your copy!

Meal is Hobo Soup and bread. Please donate a can of

veggie soup, veggies or beans in the red box in dining room.

No cream soups please.

Meal is Chilli, & bread.

Mar. 7th Guest speaker is Rev. Debbie Line from Davison UMC.

Meal is Creamy Soups & salad & bread.

Mar. 14th

Meal is soup, salad & bread.

Mar. 21st 4:00

Our Chancel Choir will provide special music before our meal.

6:00 Enjoy a Lenten Concert by the Salvation Army! Experience a traditional Seder Meal followed by a modern meal.Guest speaker is District Superintendent Rev. Blair. Guest speaker is Rev. JD Landis from Swartz Creek UMC.
